About Samantha
Owner, filmmaker, videographer and photographer creating story-driven visual work for businesses, artists and entrepreneurs in Winnipeg and surrounding areas for over 10 years.

Why "Rangda"?
The decision to name the company after this character has a few meanings.
First, it is a nod to Sam’s familial heritage. Second, Rangda represents balance, something that resonates with Sam as a woman working within a traditionally male-dominated field. Lastly, Sam is a fan of all things spooky which Rangda definitely is.
In Balinese mythology, Rangda is a powerful and complex demon queen, representing chaos, destruction, and the necessary dark half of cosmic balance (Rwa Bhineda). As the counterpart to the lion-like spirit Barong, she symbolizes the eternal struggle between good and evil.
